Crazy Thoughts April 24, 2012 9:47 PM Tweet Normal people: do things they don't want to do, speak to people they don't like, and say things they don't mean. Crazy people: do what they want, say what they feel, and mean what they say. Actually, a "normal" person, is just a great liar. And, not that "crazy" is correct, but at least it is authentic. Dead bike April 13, 2011 2:55 PM Tweet On our walk in the nearby surroundings of Galgamarken today me and Lisen bumped into this sad thing. I have no idea how it got there? But what a cruel thing to dump a bike next to a bicycle path. And probably a bicycle path where it once vibrantly rolled along. Poor bikey... Hello 2011 January 2, 2011 9:19 PM Tweet For me the beginning of something, especially a new year, is full of possibilities, hope and nervous excitement. Mainly because anything can happen, or nothing. Some years have just come and gone without leaving any special imprint in my life. Whereas others have been filled with life changing events. As for 2010, it will be remembered in my heart as the year when I truly started to go after, and working hard on, achieving what I desire out of life. And I must say that I am proud of myself. Mostly because I have managed to keep myself focused, on track and continued with what I've started. Like this blog for example. It is by far one of the best things I started on during 2010! :-) Now my plan for 2011 is to continue on this path I'm on. Because I feel like I'm on the right one. However I do need to work on keeping calm and relaxed whenever I find myself wanting too much too fast. As well as remember to have faith in the process of life. Luckily my initial feeling during the transition from 2010-2011 was that this will be a good year. Also the word "calm" popped up in my head. If that means it is how I should keep myself during 2011, or if it is how 2011 will be for me, remains to be seen? But I have decided that "calm" will be my motto for 2011. /A.L Add comment to this post

Ancient aliens, what do you believe? December 6, 2010 3:03 PM Tweet This weekend I have been watching the History Channels documentary series "Ancient aliens". Maybe you have heard or seen it already? I recently heard of it from my sister, so this whole theory is new to me. And I find it extremely interesting and fascinating, which is why I wanted to share it here. So, what ancient alien theorists believe is that extraterrestrials visited our planet thousands of years ago and influenced our early civilizations with their science and knowledge. In this documentary ancient alien theorists put forward theories which they believe are in fact explanations to many mysteries of our past. They also share facts and evidence which they are convinced support these theories. For instance, the pyramids of Giza, Egypt. How were they built? Why were they built? And are their location really a coincidence? I have here a short clip from the documentary where ancient alien theorists explain their theory regarding the purpose of these pyramids: Now, I always try to keep an open mind when it comes to most things in my life. That does not mean I believe everything, simply because it might make sense. But to close off the possibility for explanations just because they might sound a bit "out there" is naive to me. Just like it is naive, I feel, to believe that we humans know it all, or that our planet is the only one in the entire Universe with intelligent life on it. And even though we have found many answers in regards to our human history, there are still many unanswered questions. The only thing I feel completely sure of, is that I am here right now. How I got here - who knows? I would love to hear your thoughts about this subject! Is that me? November 2, 2010 10:17 PM This is Diva, my sisters dog. A few weeks ago when I connected my computer to the TV, I had this pic as my background (still do). And as soon as Diva saw it pop up on the TV, she ran straight to it. What I find interesting is that she immediately ran to herself in the pic, not Lisen. Which makes me wonder if she understands that it is her in the pic? But I guess Diva is the only one who knows the answer to that question :-) /A.L

Human nature with a modern twist

There are all kind of blogs out in cyberspace nowadays, in all type of niches. But the niche that seem to be by far most popular is the "personal blog". Even though not many people make any money on it, somehow we feel the need to share our daily life with anyone who will listen.

I believe that "personal blogs" just demonstrates old human behaviour in a new way. We all want what we have always wanted, to be seen, heard, noticed and remembered. And blogging is our new platform for doing that.

But how personal is too personal? Is it OK to talk about people behind their backs? How come it feels safer to share a secret in your blog than to tell someone about it in person? And do we really want to know all about your intimate life?

I think ultimately it's up to each one of us how comfortable we feel about reading about other peoples lives, and sharing of our own. No one is forcing anyone to do either, and if you don't like it - just keep on surfin :-)

Life - if we can't touch it, what is it worth?

Nowadays it's all about what we own, where we have been and where we are going next. I wonder, what are we chasing? Who is it we want to impress? What is the point of having an enormous house, if we are miserable in it?

A diamond ring, new shoes or the latest car won't ever give us what a living soul can. We need to feel love, in one way or another, that's what makes us human. Things won't ever love us, like us or even talk to us - they are just there reminding us of what we don't have.

I feel like people are being forgotten, overlooked all over the place, simply because we are in a rush to live. There is nothing wrong with wanting to succeed in life, or having big dreams and go after them. But I think that what makes us who we are, is not how fast we get there - but how we got there.

Ok, it wasn’t that bad - just in my head!

Actually it was kind of nice to be back at work again. And the project I am working on is fine as well, so it’s aaaall good! I don’t know what my anxiety was about…just head games I guess. I mean people have phobias of all kinds of things and would rather die than hold a harmless spider in their hands. That just shows how powerful our mind is!

Anyway, on my lunch break I was out and about in town. Shot a few pics while I was waiting for my mum to meet me for lunch. I'm standing right in the middle of our main street, Ronnebygatan. This is the "big one", but it's not, haha. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from one end to the other.

As you can see on the big clock below, my mum is fifteen minutes late...Where the purple signs are, in the right pic below, is where we ate. Thai Royal, very good food!

I will never forget that day when I was waiting for the bus, down the hill in the left pic. A lady was walking across the crosswalk in the right pic, and in her hands she held two bags of liquor. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden she started to stumble a few steps forward, she was trying to stop the fall by waving her arms in the air, but no. She fell, flat on her face. All the bottles in her bags hit the ground with a big smash. Booze and broken glass everywhere. I felt so bad for her! And glad it wasn't me...
