Finally a few days ago I took my dog Lisen for her first swim in the ocean of this year. Yay!!! And boy did she have fun! :p We went to Verkö here in Sweden, which is usually a pretty quiet spot and therefore a great place for Lisen to run around, play in the water and just enjoy being a dog. Of course I also brought my camera to snap some shots of Lisen's fun filled play date with the ocean. Below are some of them.

Of course in between all this playing around in the ocean, lots of shaking took place. Lol!

But finally, Lisen decided to stay still for a few seconds too.

Now the main reason for this quite late swim premiere, compared with other years, was because Lisen had a stubborn moist eczema (Hot Spot) in the beginning of the summer - again... So I wanted to wait until it was completely gone before I let her soak herself properly in the ocean. Which it is now. Phew!
And even though Lisen definitely enjoyed herself in and around the ocean, I see more and more now by the way she moves that she is not a young pup anymore. Even so, I do still want her to have fun and do all the things I know she loves. I just have to make sure I do not forget that she keeps a different pace now and that I need to look out for her so she does not overdo it in the midst of all the fun. With that said, Lisen and I certainly look forward to many more play dates with the ocean this summer. And maybe, if only we could get some warmer weather and sun here in Sweden, I might actually join Lisen in splashing around in the ocean on one of those occassions too. :p
