Christmas Hangover
January 4, 2013 3:42 PM

Christmas, and the rest of the Swedish December Holidays, are now over. In other words - time to return to reality again. Now I love the Christmas season and everything that goes along with it, but every year once it is over I do feel like I have a huge Christmas Hangover. Because with the Christmas season (for me anyway) comes overeating, overdecorating, overspending and a very happy state of mind. So once it is over it feels kind of empty and like - what just happened?

Christmas Hangover
Lisen also has a Christmas Hangover...

BUT, the good thing about Christmas, Advent, Lucia and New Year is that they always return! Yay! And until they do we have many other fun Swedish traditions to celebrate throughout this new year. So, despite my current Christmas Hangover, I am very grateful for the amazing Christmas season of 2012 which I celebrated with family and friends here at home in Sweden. And I am now excited to see what new memories the traditions of 2013 will bring. Because - here we go again! ;-)
