Wiping Floors With Dog Equals Tricky October 16, 2011 4:09 PM

It can be a bit tricky to wipe floors with a dog in the house. And by house I mean my apartment. So there is not a whole lot of places I can tell my dog Lisen to move to when I clean it. Which is also why I seldom get to enjoy my newly wiped floors for very long. But it is all good! Because Lisen always look so non understanding when she lies there in the middle of the wet floors. Like she is thinking:

Wiping Floors With Dog Equals Tricky
"Why on earth did you do this!?"

Wiping Floors With Dog Equals Tricky
"They looked just fine to me."

Swaggering Cat
October 10, 2011 7:33 PM

While I was photographing at Kolboda camping in Kalmar the other day. All of a sudden I was very confidently approached by a swaggering cat. He/she wanted to be cuddled, and photographed too. I swear! And how on earth could I not take any photos of this cutie!!! So here they are, a few photos of the swaggering cat at Kolboda camping in Sweden.

Swaggering Cat
Confident steps or what!?

Swaggering Cat
Pose!

Swaggering Cat
Let me see if you got any good shots there.

Swaggering Cat
Definitely looks like a little tiger to me. :-)

Cloudy Magnificence
October 9, 2011 4:42 PM

Yesterday I went on an afternoon excursion to beautiful Kolboda Camping next to Kalmar strait here in Sweden. This lovely little picturesque place is located about 70 kilometers from Karlskrona and 25 kilometers south of Kalmar. And, although a bit confused with rain clouds in the skies, the weather was absolutely stunning there. Also a lot of birds had gathered to make their way to warmer destinations. At least that is where I think they were headed? So all that activity above sure made for a magnificent show among the clouds! In other words a perfect photo opportunity indeed. :p

Kolboda Camping in Kalmar
Actually one of the largest harbor seal colonies in the Baltic Sea live near Kolboda. So in high season the owners of this boat arrange Seal safaris from Kolboda. Although I am not sure when high season is...

A cute little cottage on its very own little island opposite Kolboda camping.

Confused skies.

Cloudy Magnificence
A little bit of everything.

Divided clouds!

Foggy Sunday With Wet Spider Webs
October 2, 2011 6:24 PM

No sun in sight today here in Karlskrona in Sweden. In fact, it has been hard to see anything outside on this foggy Sunday. But I like foggy days like these. Everything seems so mysterious and spooky to me. And what better way to turn up the spook factor than to head on into the forest!? Which Lisen and I of course did. But not only did we have to struggle to see in the forest today, we also had to watch out for thousands of wet spider webs! Yikes!

Foggy Sunday
Foggy fog on the road to Rödeby forest.

Wet Spider Webs
And for some reason the forest was filled with spider webs today!

Wet Spider Webs Everywhere
They were EVERYWHERE! (The white dots on the grass are spider webs.)

Wet Spider Webs Everywhere
Even all over the trees.

Wet Spider Webs
Although all that most spider webs seemed to have caught were raindrops...

Wet Spider Webs
More wet spider webs.

Wet Spider Webs
And Lisen waiting patiently while I am photographing all these wet spider webs.

Now fortunately for me I do not have any spider phobias. Because I walked into many, many spider webs on this forest walk. Sticky indeed! But I survived, both the fog and wet spider webs. As did Lisen. :-)

Egg from a different angle
September 23, 2011 6:07 PM

I get odd ideas sometimes... Like this one. While I was eating this egg on my balcony I suddenly thought the egg would be a great photo opportunity! So in I went to grab my camera. And below is the result.

An egg from a different angle.

Egg from a different angle

Makes no sense at all. Lol! But that is when I think you should just go for it. No matter how weird an idea might seem.

Happy Weekend Everyone! :p

Funky Mushrooms
September 13, 2011 7:10 PM

Earlier today I grabbed my doggy, camera and off to Rödeby forest in Sweden we went. It was a while since Lisen and I walked this particular walk we did today. Therefore I was quite surprised when I saw all the mushrooms that had now appeared. And there were a lot of mushrooms, funky mushrooms! Lol!

Now I do not know anything about mushrooms, which ones you can eat and so on. Which is why I dared not to pick any of them. But they sure made for great photo ops! So below are photos of some of those funky mushrooms Lisen and I encountered in the Swedish Rödeby forest earlier today.

I am going on a cruise tomorrow!
August 23, 2011 11:23 PM

Yay! So today I drove 500 kilometers from Karlskrona here in Sweden to my departure destination, and Swedens capital, Stockholm. The cruise I'm going on is a 5 day cruise with stops in Tallinn (Estonia) and St. Petersburg (Russia). And I'm so excited!!! Especially about St. Petersburg! A city I imagine to be very beautiful with grandiose buildings and a deeply historic atmosphere. Although I'm sure the entire cruise thing will be a fun experience too!

Of course I have brought my camera with me and I plan to take tons of photos! However I'm not sure how often I will be able to update my blog during this trip. Mainly due to limited internet access out at sea. But I will try to post something as soon as and as often as I can. The same goes for responding to comments, emails and other online connections.

But for now I will leave you with some photos from my drive to Stockholm today. :p

Pond Artistico
August 17, 2011 4:28 PM

I played around a bit with my camera at my mums garden pond in Rödeby, Sweden recently. Man how I bent, crawled and laid down on the ground to try and get some good photos. My leg muscles were so sore the day after! Yikes. But I'm so focused while I'm photographing that I don't even realize I'm straining my muscles in the process. Lol! Anyway, below are the top 4 photos I snapped.

By the way the camera I used here was a Canon EOS 450D. And although there are no Tuscany Villas in Rödeby, Sweden, this pond do remind me of Italy for some odd reason...

Living on the edge
August 7, 2011 4:09 PM

This is what Living On The Edge means to me:

Take chances - Small insect crossing big road
Take chances,

Living on the edge - Small insect retreats
but know when to retreat.

Living on the edge - Stand out
Stand out,

Living on the edge - never stand alone
but never stand alone.

Roll with the punches - Mosquito bite
Roll with the punches,

Never start a fight - Big dog, baby frog
but never start a fight.

Living on the edge - fly with dragons. Dragonfly.
And don't be afraid to fly with dragons,

Living on the edge - Love like birds
as long as you remember to love like birds.
