Puppy love
July 31, 2011 11:48 PM

While I was browsing through photos on my computer today I happened to stumble across my all time favourite Lisen photo. It's of Lisen saying goodbye to one of her puppies. So of course I had to post it! And oh how it brought back memories!

Lisen had her 12! puppies in the summer of 2005. And before each pup moved to his or her new family my sister captured some last one on one moments between mum and pup on camera. This photo is of one of those moments.

Now I had moved from home back then so I wasn't around to say goodbye to all puppies. Although we did visit them in their new homes later of course. But my sister said that she always felt like Lisen knew when each pup was going to leave home. Because Lisen was always a bit extra attentive with them during those last one on one moments. Which is what I think this photo has captured.

Lisen was an amazing mum by the way! :-) I have written all about when she had her puppies in my post My Lovely Dogs. I have also posted lots of photos of them on Lisens blog Lisen.eu And I do love to visit those pages sometimes. Because they help to remind me of all those wonderful puppy moments! Ahh! :p

Flying art
July 27, 2011 9:20 PM

Lisen and I are housesitting at my mums. So earlier today I went outside to see if I could find anything fun to take photos of in her garden. And I found flying art!

Butterflies!

Hungry butterflies.

Beautiful butterflies.

Butterflies all over the place.

Even a moth???

Who practised camouflage.

I also saw a lovely ladybug.

But she flew away pretty quickly.

It must be nice to have wings like that, to be able to fly around wherever you like. Perhaps make some flights to alicante. Hehe. Oh well, butterflies sure are beautiful. As are ladybugs too. And I'm so glad I got to enjoy the flying art they are today. :-)

Fruits and flowers along the way
July 22, 2011 4:35 PM

Lately the Swedish weather has been dominated by clouds and rain. Not the perfect summer conditions, but a pretty great weather combination for Lisen and I to walk in. So yesterday we went on a 6k walk to visit my sister. Along the way grew lots of lovely colorful flowers and wild fruits like cherries, raspberries and apples. In other words - it was a perfect photo opportunity for me! :p

At the start of the main road of fruits and flowers.

Cherries.

Yum for me! Yuck for Lisen.

Raspberries.

Another yum for me! Not so much for Lisen.

Rowanberries. Hm. More beautiful than yum for either of us, hehe.

Lovely wildflowers! Not sure what they are called though...

Ahhh!

Not sure if you can see it but the raspberries (bottom middle) grow right next to the wildflowers and rowanberries.

And here we are a bit further down the road where apple trees grow.

Big apple trees!

Packed with apples. Not ready to eat yet though.

My good doggy Lisen. Who had to do a lot of waiting along the way because I took so many photos. Oh well, I'm sure she didn't mind (too much). And in the end we arrived safely at my sisters where we had a nice visit. So it was a "fruitful" day indeed! :p

Fallen tree
July 14, 2011 7:44 PM

Today I decided to take Lisen to the forest. However, we didn't get very far...

Because of this fallen tree... I actually got out of the car to try and pull it aside. But nope, I couldn't even pull it an inch! Lol! Nothing else to do but reverse the car about 100 metres to the beginning of the forest road and start our walk from there instead. Lisen looked a bit confused when I had to reverse all the way back.

So when we got to the fallen tree she decided to conduct a complete inspection of it.

Hm..

I also decided to do a little inspection of the fallen tree.

Meaning a few close ups with my camera. Hehe.

But despite the tree roadblock and constant pouring rain we did indeed have a fun visit to the forest today. :p

Summer and barbecue, ahhh! Yesterday I barbecued for the first time this year. So for me, it's now officially summer in Sweden! :p And below are some photos from my barbecue premiere.

Fire.

Chop, chop.

Guard dogs...

And finito result. My barbecue dinner: Pasta salad, porkchops and a glass of white wine. :p

Happy weekend everyone!

Bee by my window
May 13, 2011 12:52 PM

This little guy has been visiting me for a couple of days now. I have pushed him back outside every time he has flown into my apartment, still he keeps on coming back in.

This morning he sat by my window quite still, probably exhausted from, yet again, trying to find a way out. But today I thought - Aha! What a perfect opportunity to practice shooting close ups with my camera, hehe. So I did.

And Mr. Bee was quite the cooperative model for about 14 shots, then he became a bit restless. So I thanked him and let him out, again! And I really hope he doesn't return this time...

New camera - test shots
April 15, 2011 6:30 PM

Well it's not really a NEW camera, only to me. This camera, a Canon EOS 450D, actually belong to my mother. But she never use it. Therefore I figured that I might as well stick my claws into it. Hehe. So I have only used this camera for about two days now, but I have never used a camera with so many features before. And although it takes time to understand everything, all these possibilities makes it even more fun to take photos than before! Yay! :p

Below are a few of my artistic attempts so far.

Cheese.

Lisen - cheese.

Salt and pepper.

Leaf.

Happy weekend everyone!
