A lovely daffodil enjoying the sunshine in April by Nättraby creek here in Sweden.
We have had a lot of sunshine here in Sweden over the past few weeks. It has almost felt like summer time some days, with temeperatures of around 20-25 degrees Celsius. Amazing! But also a bit strange, I have to say. We even had a thunderstorm last night, unusual for this time of the year here in Sweden. Then again, the month of April has always been a confusing weather month for us Swedes. It is the month when it can be sunny with high temperatures one day and freezing with snow the next. Some people wear shorts, others winter coats.
Having said that, the month of April this year has had a lot of glowing sunshine and high tempretures to offer here in Sweden. No snow, where I live in Sweden anyway.
Below are some photos of some sunshine from Nättraby here in Sweden.
I love to take walks on beautiful days like these. Sometimes along this country road.
But most days I take walks alongside the Nättraby creek.
Double sunshine.
After a while on my walk along the creek I get to the ocean.
Fishing in the sun.
Another sight on my walk in the sunshine this April was this Easter witch in a tree! So funny, because it was so unexpected! Lol! We have a tradition here in Sweden on Maundy Thursday where children dress up like Easter witches and knock on doors for candy. A tradition that has spun off of the belief that all witches fly off to the Brocken on their brooms to socialize with the devil on Maundy Thursday. I have written more about this Swedish tradition here: Swedish Maundy Thursday Traditions.
I have never seen a decoration quite like this before though, but it was surely in honor of Maundy Thursday. A creepy little witch! :-o
My home. ♥ I love simplicity! Flowers are pretty, but I do not have that much experience with them. So I am taking it slow. Lol!
I have managed to grow some flowers in my little garden boat though. :-) They enhance that sunny feeling I think. So those flowers have been the first and last thing I have seen on my walks lately.
And this spectacular view of the sunrise has greeted me at the bus stop on my way to work on those sunny days. A sight that gives me the feeling of being very grateful of having the opportunity to experience yet another day on this magnificent Earth. I mean, what better way to start off the day than with some sunshine!? I love it!
